Dr Colbert is a Board Certified Nephrologist and Certified Hypertension Specialist in private practice at Kidney and Hypertension Associates of Dallas. He has an academic appointment with Texas A&M HSC-COM as an Assistant Professor in Medicine. He enjoys working with medical students, residents and fellows in mastering the interesting aspects of hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, and kidney disease. Currently, he is primarily based at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
@DoctorGates is very involved in social media and is one of the faculty of the Nephrology Social Medial Collective and #NephJC. Participation with this network of colleagues from around the world has expanded his learning and opportunities to be involved with the latest aspects of our field. Additionally, he is a strong healthcare advocate and Chairs the Young Physician Section of the Texas Medical Association and is a delegate to the national AMA.
Dr Colbert obtained his medical degree from The University of Texas at Houston (McGovern), completed residency at Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas, and finished his Nephrology fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
