Melissa Green has been in health care operations for over 17 years. Her experience primarily consists of physician practice management, which include private practice, corporate and private equity. Her prior role as VP Operations at DermOne included oversight responsibility of the National CBO, National Call Center, and Texas Practice Operations. Prior to that, she was the Corporate Director of Operations/COO for Universal Health Services, Physician Services Division where she was responsible for two National CBOs, 10 Markets consisting of 250 multi-specialty practices and over 500 physicians. Her private practice includes Oncology, Pediatrics, Addiction medicine, Pain management, Dermatology, Cardiology and Surgery.
Her current role is Regional Operations Director for US Renal Care covering the S. Dallas District of the N. Texas Region. She is also adjunct faculty for University of Phoenix for the last 11 years and Walden University for the last 3 years. Her teaching expertise includes Masters Level Courses for Professional Development, Conflict Management/ Team Building, Organizational Structure, Dynamics and Culture, Tackling the talent war in the health sector and Health Care Ethics. Undergraduate courses for Health care ethics and Billing/Coding. She is also the Chair for 3 doctoral students and a committee member for 14 others. She currently holds a Doctorate in Health Administration and her CMPE from MGMA. She’s active member with ACHE and MGMA serving on the Membership and Networking committee for ACHE. She’s also an editorial board member for Management in Healthcare and a Peer-Reviewer for Journal of Health Care Management.
